Mr. Arsène Yazji, Governor of Antalya, southern Turkey, said:
"The state aims to receive more than 15.6 million tourists in 2022.
In a meeting with businessmen in Antalya, he also explained that next year's tourist season will see a significant increase in the number of tourists coming to the state.
Next year, Antalya aims to surpass the 15.6 million visitors to the state in 2019, he said.
He also pointed out that the tourism services in Antalya are better than many in some European cities.
The state is also keen to implement health measures to prevent the spread of corona, taking into account the privacy of tourists without causing them any kind of inconvenience or restriction.
Antalya is known as turkey's undisputed tourism capital, famous for its warm atmosphere, golden beaches, forests and archaeological areas, receiving more than 8,962,000 tourists alone in the first 11 months of this year.
