On the mediterranean region of Turkey. It is approximately 35 km inland, near the town of Korkuteli and 110 km to the west of Antalya. In 2000, the population of the entire region was 40,041, of which 14,600 lived in the town of Elmalı. It was formerly known as kabalı and emelas.
