Law is the essence of life. As laws are found to systemize life affairs in one's country, International Law is found to secure rights abroad.

In this essay, we will give a brief explanation of the Turkish Inheritance Law for foreigners.

If a foreigner who owns property in Turkey passed away, the property would be inherited by his relatives. Generally,  they would-be wives and children.

To understand,  the situation, two kinds of property must be taken into consideration

 The movable property contains cars, bank accounts, and money. They can acquire and be divided by the national law of the deceased's country, or be inherited under a will. 

Immovable property: They contain real estate property (apartment, land, shop ). In the matter of acquiring And dividing immovable property, the Turkish Law will be applied regardless of the deceased and the heirs ' nationalities Law is applied to what is related to transactions of property. .

For proving the rights of the heirs, An inheritance certificate must be demanded. Turkish courts are authorized to issue the certificate. This is conditioned by the credibility of the inheritance, otherwise, the certificate will be canceled or revised by the Turkish courts.
